Troubleshooting: Selected Pages within Sections won’t Print
If the document doesn’t print after selecting specific pages within a section, ensure that the page numbers are restarting for each section.
If the page numbers don’t restart for each section or you accidentally entered nonexistent pages, the print job won’t be sent to your printer’s queue. However, Word won’t send you an error message explaining the issue.
Rather than waiting to see if the print job is just delayed, you can check to see if it has been sent to your printer’s queue:
- Select the Windows button.
- Select the Settings button.

- Select Bluetooth & devices from the Settings dialog box.
- Select Printer & scanners.

- Select your printer from the list of available devices.

- Select Open print queue.

If the Print Queue dialog box says, “No print jobs,” return to Word to check for potential page numbering errors in your original print request.
